Homelessness can and does happen to anyone.

Hutt St Centre is a place of hope, opportunity and choice, helping people facing homelessness in South Australia to rebuild their lives, without judgement.

Each year Hutt St Centre serves 50,000+ meals and offers case management and support services to nearly 2,000 people. Showers, laundry facilities, visiting health professionals, an aged city living program for our older clients, recreation activities, education and training, legal aid and assistance with finding housing are provided to the 200+ homeless people who visit Hutt St Centre each day.

St Peter's Woodlands Grammar School

walk a mile around their local community in bright socks!

While over 3,000 people gathered in the city on Friday 7 August to participate in Hutt St Centre’s walk a mile in my boots event. St Peter's Woodlands Grammar School grouped over 800 staff, students and parents to walk a mile in their school community.

Students wore colourful socks and carried Hutt St Centre banners while they walked from the school campus on Partridge Street to Moseley Square and back again.

Students purchased colourful socks to wear on the day with sock profits making up a portion of their funds raised for Hutt St Centre. Here at Hutt St Centre we were shocked and delighted to find out just how significant a difference this school community was going to make. With raising over $7,700 for South Australia’s homeless they took out the 2015 Highest Fundraising School. Our CEO, Ian Cox was more than happy to head on over to

St Peter's Woodlands and let them know the great news.

Congratulations St Peter's Woodlands Grammar School and thank you.
